Pinder’s Ferry – Online Passenger Ticket Purchase Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions:
- “Company” means Pinder’s Ferry Boat Service.
- “Passenger” means each person traveling on a purchased ticket.
- “Ticket” means a passenger travel entitlement purchased online, at the dock, or via phone/message.
- “Sailing” means a scheduled departure time on a selected date and route.
- “Policies” means the Schedule, Check-in, ID, Luggage/Cargo, and any other policies posted on the website.
2. Contract of Carriage
By purchasing a Ticket, you enter into a contract with the Company governed by these Terms & Conditions and the posted Policies.
3. Ticket Validity
Tickets are valid for six (6) months from the date of purchase.
Expired tickets have no value.
4. Non-Refundable / Final Sale
All passenger ticket sales are final. No refunds will be provided, except where required by applicable law.
5. Non-Transferable
Tickets are non-transferable and may only be used by the Passenger(s) connected to the booking.
6. Changes by Phone Only
Date and/or time changes must be requested by calling the Company’s office at the departure port.
Changes are subject to operational constraints and verification of the booking.
The Company may require the original purchaser to confirm any requested changes.
7. Check-In, Cut-Off, and Boarding Priority
Passengers should arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure.
Check-in closes 10 minutes before departure.
Boarding priority is based on the order of check-in at the dock.
The Company may refuse boarding to any Passenger who fails to meet check-in requirements.
8. Late Arrivals / No-Show
The ferry must depart on time and will not wait for late Passengers.
Late arrival or no-show does not create a right to a refund.
9. Identification Requirement
Passengers must present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
If identification does not match the booking details, or cannot be provided, boarding may be denied.
10. Schedule Changes, Delays, and Cancellations
Schedules may change due to weather, sea conditions, safety concerns, port conditions, mechanical issues, staffing, or other operational needs.
The Company may delay, reschedule, substitute vessels, add trips, or cancel sailings for safety or operational reasons.
The Company is not responsible for missed connections, hotel costs, flights, wages, or other indirect expenses.
11. Fares, Fees, and Payment Processing
Passenger tickets purchased online must be paid in full at checkout.
Payments are processed through the Company’s payment provider.
The Company may cancel bookings suspected of fraud or unauthorized payment activity.
12. Chargebacks and Fraud Protection
If a payment is disputed through a chargeback, the Company may suspend or cancel associated tickets and may require alternative proof of payment prior to travel.
The Company may provide booking records, system logs, and evidence of policy acceptance to the payment processor to contest invalid disputes.
13. Luggage and Cargo
Luggage and cargo are subject to safety limitations and available space.
Additional luggage and cargo/freight fees may apply and are payable at the dock until online pricing is published.
The Company may refuse items that are unsafe, illegal, prohibited, improperly packaged, or otherwise unsuitable for transport.
14. Prohibited / Restricted Items
Passengers must not present illegal or unsafe items for transport.
The Company may refuse carriage of any item at its discretion for safety and compliance reasons.
15. Passenger Conduct and Safety Compliance
Passengers must comply with all crew instructions and safety requirements.
The Company may deny boarding to, or remove, any Passenger for unsafe, abusive, disruptive, or intoxicated conduct, without refund, unless otherwise required by law.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.
Any liability, where it cannot be excluded by law, shall be limited to the amount paid for the affected passenger ticket.
17. Privacy and Communications
The Company may contact you using the phone number and/or email address provided at booking for confirmations and operational notices.
Website and payment processing may involve third-party service providers.
18. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of The Commonwealth of The Bahamas, and any disputes will be handled in the appropriate Bahamian forum, unless otherwise required by law.
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
20. Acceptance
By completing checkout, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions and the posted Policies.
